Steven M. Cohen
Steven M. Cohen joined the Lottery.com Board in 2021. For over 30 years, he has served as counselor and legal advisor in the public and private sectors. He currently operates an advisory consulting firm providing advice to corporate boards and executives. He also serves as co-chair of the Gateway Development Commission and on the Board of the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey. From 2013 to 2020, Mr. Cohen was General Counsel and Chief Administrative Officer of MacAndrews & Forbes Incorporated. Prior to that, he served as Secretary to the New York Governor, in addition to serving as Counselor and Chief of Staff in the Office of the New York Attorney General. In private practice, Mr. Cohen has represented a wide array of corporations and individuals in complex commercial, criminal, and regulatory matters. Early in his career, he was an Assistant U.S. Attorney and the Chief of the Violent Gangs Unit in the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York. Mr. Cohen received his B.A. from New York University and his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He currently serves on the NYU Board of Trustees and on the Penn Law Board of Overseers. He has also served as the Chair of Empire State Development (the New York State economic development agency).
